Welcome!
My name is Annika Horne and I am an award winning filmmaker, actor, and musician from Texas living in New York City. My goal as an artist is to share stories that elevate women's experiences and are grounded in a historical perspective.
Most recently, I have had two works accepted to compete at the 2022 Austin Film Festival, a screenplay which advanced to the Second Round and a short film which will screen as an official selection. The short film, FLYING IN THE DARK, uses lively animation and firsthand accounts to tell the story of women in aviation, from World War II to the present day. This film was generously supported by the Austin Film Society's Harrison McClure grant.
I grew up singing country music in Texas and had the amazing opportunity to open for Wynona Judd and perform at venues throughout the country. In New York, I have started studying jazz at the New York Jazz Workshop and in college and beyond I have studied classical voice with outstanding teachers.
I am a trained actor and won a Young Artist Award for a guest starring role in the series Army Wives in 2013.
